@@MAHugh ah yes I think I saw that one once before 🙂 Some critiques might suggest that you perhaps overplayed it slightly, but I personally think that this is just one of those old classics that HAS to have some mad chops added when played live. It's an unwritten law 😁

Jeder Drummer kennt diesen Groove - er ist auch nicht gerade der leichteste um mal eben aus dem Ärmel zu schütteln. Und leider spielen wir den wirklich nicht so oft wie ich es gerne wollen würde. Daher entspricht die Aussage einfach mal der Warheit. Ich weiss, dass ich ihn eigentlich besser spielen kann. Aber Danke für deinen Respekt und dein Kommentar! ;-)

@@MAHugh Ich versuche schon ewig, den so zu spielen wie du es tuhst. Meine Ghosts klingen einfach nicht so prägnant. Das hier ist für mich das erste Video, bei dem man das Pattern richtig wahrnimmt. Ich hab mir das Video jetzt bestimmt schon 30 mal angesehen, weil ichs einfach nur geil finde.

@@Kalle1854 Das freut mich wirklich sehr zu hören. 😊 Ich kann mir vorstellen, dass es aber auch etwas an dem allbekannten Geheimnis liegen mag, dass Jeff selber erklärt er spiele immer nur die 2. Triole geghostet. Aber wenn man live Videos von Jeff sieht kann man erkennen, das er eigentlich immer die 2. & 3. Triole ghostet. Das macht die ganze Gechichte nochmal etwas runder. 🤘🏼

Mário Maia Hey there, I play three 8ths syncopated in succession, where the right hand plays the 1st and 3rd note and the left hand plays the 2nd and 3rd note. Perhaps a little weird but it fits in nicely, if you ask me.

It somehow evolved to that what it is now over the years and I almost play it exactly the same every gig by now (which you can see in a newer version I also have of this song). But at the end of the day it all comes down to if it grooves of not - I am fully with you on that point.
